Obituary

Paul D. Knicely, 73, of Baltimore, Ohio, formerly of Adamsville, died at 7:49AM Thursday March 4, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center.

Mr. Knicely was born February 23, 1937 in Adamsville, a son of the late Donald H. and Margaret R. (Gosser) Knicely. A 1955 graduate of Adamsville High School, he received a BS in Agriculture from The Ohio State University. Mr. Knicely first taught at New Concord High School and later moved to New Jersey and taught with fellow Adamsville native, Dr. Wendell Williams. He retired from Columbus City Schools where he taught industrial arts for many years. He enjoyed square and ballroom dancing, traveling and genealogical studies. His passion was in the arts, particularly woodworking. Over the years he designed and built many heirloom wood pieces with native and exotic woods for family and friends. He was a past master and member of the Eureka Grange in Adamsville for 59 years F.&A.M. in Adamsville and was a 32 degree Mason. He was a lifelong member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Adamsville and a member of World Harvest Church in Columbus for the past 23 years.

Surviving are his wife, Tereasa J. (Fowler) Knicely, whom he married August 10, 2003; two sons, Terrance and Luther Knicely, both of Pataskala and two brothers, David R. (Kathie) Knicely of Adamsville and Loren H. (Connie) Knicely of Frazeysburg.

Friend may call 2-6PM Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2PM at New Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Mary Molnar officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
