FRAZEYSBURG â?? Paul H. Kilpatrick, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday morning, August 16, 2010 at Emeritus at North Hills, Zanesville.
Born March 20, 1923 in Pike Township of Coshocton, he was the son of the late Carlos H. and Laura (Johnson) Kilpatrick and was a 1941 graduate of Union High School. Paul was a lifetime farmer raising cattle, sheep, hogs and horses. He was particularly fond of Quarter horses and was a member of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. For many years he participated in Quarter Horse racing and he breed and owned five different Ohio Quarter Horse Association Champion Horses. He was a Coshocton County Mounted Deputy Sheriff and a former 4-H advisor for Dusty Boots 4-H. He was a member of the Guys and Dolls Square Dance Club of Zanesville and he attended Washington Township Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Jack (Blanca) Kilpatrick of Frazeysburg, Robert Kilpatrick of Dresden, Michael J. (Candy) Kilpatrick of Coshocton, Ohio and Kenny (Cathy) Jenkins of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Laura Jane (Bill) Devoll of Newark and Rose (Tom) Wilson of Frazeysburg; eleven grandchildren, Jackie (Lee) Sipe, Marisol (Brad) Wrightsel, Ian (Jessica) Kilpatrick, James Kilpatrick, Deidra (Josh) Collins, Doug Devoll, Larry Devoll, Rick (Tanya) Devoll, Rod (Jamie) Wilson, Tomma (David) Beverley and Amy (David) Bremer; eighteen great grandchildren; a sister, Edith Brookover of Oregon, Ohio; the mother of his children, Freda Minnich Kilpatrick of Zanesville; a special friend, June Culbertson of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Yolanda Kilpatrick, a brother Kenneth Kilpatrick and a sister Mary Louise Mikesell.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
