Paul J. Howard, 76, of Trinway, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, May 2, 2015 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born December 9, 1938 in Conesville, Ohio he was a son of the late Arthur and Eva (Miller) Howard and was a 1957 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mr. Howard was a 28 year employee of Clow Water Systems Company, retiring in 1996. He was also a very avid farmer. Paul was a member of the Trinway United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Jaycees and the Lions Club. He especially enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR and traveling.
Surviving is he loving wife of 55 years, Carol Sue (Lacy) Howard whom he married February 19, 1960; three sons and daughters in-law, Max and Michelle Howard of Dresden, Dean and Karen Howard and Troy and Jennifer Howard both of Trinway; four grandchildren, Austin, Casey, Alexus and Amber; three sisters, Carol Perko of Dresden, Betty (Jim) Boatman of Coshocton, Ohio and Donna (Christie) Kirker of Trinway; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, David Howard and a sister, Ruth Ann Howard.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton.
