FRAZEYSBURG ? Funeral services for Paul T. Herbert, 90, of Frazeysburg, Ohio will be at 11:00am Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Perryton Cemetery. Mr. Herbert died Monday morning, August 28, 2006 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio. Born October 21, 1915 in Limestone, Ohio in Ottawa County, he was the son of the late Samuel M. and Edna (Chafin) Herbert and was a retired mechanic with the Cummins Diesel Company. He also worked as a ranger with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District for 15 years. Mr. Herbert was a former Mayor and Village Policeman for the village of Sherrodsville, Ohio and he enjoyed camping and woodworking. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Sherrodsville and he attended Perryton United Methodist Church. Surviving is one sister, Audra Parris of Dover, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jo (Phillip) Painter and Paul (Bobbie) Willey of Frazeysburg, Edna (Rick) Frey of Newark and Jim Willey of Dresden; seven great grandchildren, Jason (Carole) Trusler and Kelly Frey of Newark, Wendy (Kevin) Shaner and Joshua (Sara) Trusler of Perryton, Eric (Sherri) Frey of Marne, Raejean (Bo) Cunningham of Columbus and Ellie Offenbaker of Frazeysburg; four great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many friends and neighbors; and his beloved pet, ?Tommy?. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theda Pearl (Leggett) Herbert, whom he married March 19, 1938 and who died May 4, 2005; a daughter, Mary Jo Welsh, who died September 10, 1998; four brothers, Marvin, Edward, Floyd and Woodrow Herbert; a sister, Meda Russell; and a great great grandson, Jacob Thomas Dale Trusler on August 26, 2004. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
