Paul Berens, age 66, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on July 8, 2021 at the Dignity Health St. Rose Dominion Hospital.

Paul was born July 13, 1954 in Saint Louis, MO and resided in Newark, Ohio for several years along with his beloved parents, Roy E. Berens and Genieva L. (Swisher) Berens.

Paul was adventurous, loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was creative and a very talented artist and worked as a designer/bodyman customizing cars. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had fond memories riding his first bike back in 1977.

Paul was a 1974 graduate of Newark High School. He was a former employee of Structurelite. He missed his family and friends in Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Berens in 1998.

Paul is survived by his loving mother, Genieva Berens of Newark; children, Stephanie (Andrew) Baker, Jeremy Berens all of Newark, Camieo (Bryan) Adams of Glenford; his children's mother, Betty "Lou" (Thompson) Berens of Newark; brothers, John (Andra) Berens of Greenville, SC, Roy E. "Roy" (Takayo) Berens, Jr. of Columbus; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday August 21, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Neal Avenue United Methodist Church, 12 Neal Avenue with Pastor Eva Marie Wolfe officiating.  A visitation will be observed one hour prior to the services.
