Patrick M. "Punion" McDonald, 24, passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 University Hospital in Columbus after a courageous 15 month battle against leukemia.

Patrick was born September 13, 1986 in Zanesville a son of the late Mark S. McDonald who died January 26, 2001 and Linda (Craig) Myers of Dresden. He was a 2005 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and was formerly employed at TS Tech in Reynoldsburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters and brother, Jenny McDonald of Dresden, Sarah (Andy) Herbert of Cincinnati, Ben McDonald of Reynoldsburg, Katie McDonald of Adams Mills; nephews, Michael Herbert, Johnathan Ross grandparents, Rodney Wilson of Murray City, Peggy McDonald of Nelsonville; special aunts and uncles, including, Mike & Loretta Wilson, Susan & Dean Cavey, Rick McDonald, Janice & Charles Lochary and many, many very dear and special friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Lou Wilson and grandfather, Dick McDonald.

Friends may call 1-3PM and 6-8PM Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street; www.vocfh.com. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12PM at Northgate Open Bible Church, OH 60 & Northpointe Dr. in Dresden with Pastors Mike & Melody Foster officiating.
