Patricia A. "Pat" Metcalf, 72, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday evening, November 1, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born January 13, 1944 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Lester and Hazel (Cullins) Graves and was a 1962 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. She was retired from United Technologies of Zanesville after 41 years of service and was a member of Muskingum Presbyterian Church. Pat enjoyed sewing, embroidery, gardening, she loved animals and she was a great cook.
Surviving is her husband, William "Bill" Metcalf whom she married July 1, 1985; two sisters, Judy Cody of Dresden and Ruth Smith of Zanesville; one brother, Max (Sondra) Graves of Nashport; nieces and nephews, Keena (Jake) Pettet and Amy (Dennis) Grimes, both of Dresden, Ara Graves of Nashport and Jessica (Don) Wheeler of Zanesville; three step-children, Stephanie (Darrin) Hayes and William (Sara) Metcalf, both of Zanesville and Julie Metcalf of Chandlersville, Ohio; four step-grandchildren, Kearsten, Haiden, Hayley and Lily Metcalf; several great nieces and great nephews; her cat "Boomer" and her dog, "Missy".
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers in-law, Robert Smith and Larry Cody and a special nephew, Lance Cody.
Calling hours will be 11am to 1pm Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, November 4, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Muskingum Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice or to Muskingum Presbyterian Church.
