A funeral service for Patricia M. Kolb, 68 of Heath will be held Sunday August 9, 2009 at 3 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes. Mrs. Kolb died Thursday August 6, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born September 11, 1940 in Sharon, PA to the late John and Kathryn (Haines) Shook, Jr. Mrs. Kolb has been employed at Park National Bank for over 15 years. Currently she has been a teller at the McMillen Office Branch. She had been active as a leader in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a volunteer for the Central Ohio Hospice. She was an avid sports fan especially watching the Olympics and attending OSU Hockey games. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Howard E. Kolb, whom she married September 1, 1959; daughter, Kathryn (John) Burns of Pickerington; son, John (Meg) Kolb of Northville, MI.; grandchildren, Devin Kolb and Jadyn Kolb; sisters, Mary (Dick) Coppage of Mercer, PA., Peg (Will) Williams of Mt. Pleasant, PA.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Anita Kolb and granddaughter, Amanda. Calling hours will be observed Saturday evening 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
