Patricia J. "Patty" Bales, 85, of Dresden, Ohio died Wednesday morning, September 15, 2021 at Alter Care of Zanesville.

Born November 13, 1935 in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Irene (Egbert) Graves and was a 1953 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School.  Patty was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Dresden.  She enjoyed reading, watching the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family.  Patty also had wonderful neighbors and she was very grateful for all that they have done for her over the years.

Surviving are two daughters, Vicki (Pat) Gay of Zanesville and Connie Haught of Westerville, Ohio; a granddaughter, Amy (Jeff) Delperdang of Westerville and a great granddaughter, Natalie Edith Delperdang.  Also surviving is one brother, Charles "Butch" (Judy) Graves of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Dean Bales, whom she married October 30, 1954 and who died March 10, 2018; a brother, David Graves and a sister, Jane Merkle.

There will be no calling hours.

Private graveside funeral services will be held at Dresden Cemetery with Father Ryan Schmit officiating.
