Patricia A. (Patty) Hindel, 60, of Dresden, died Friday afternoon, February 27, 2009 at Willow Haven Nursing Home where she had been a resident ten years. She was born June 25, 1948 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Jack E. and Janet M. (King) Hindel. Patty grew up in Dresden and was a member of the 1966 graduating class of Jefferson High School. She graduated from the Columbus School of Cosmetology and worked at the Mary McClintock Beauty Salon and later operated the Touch of Class Beauty Salon in Dresden. During the 1980?s, she owned and operated Hindel?s Country Basket Buffet in Dresden. She was a member of the Trinway United Methodist Church, the Dresden chapter of O.E.S. and enjoyed playing bingo. Surviving are a brother, Jeff Hindel of Dresden; nephews, Channing Hindel and Jared Hindel, nieces, Jaclyn and Kayla Hindel, a great nephew, Gage Hindel,; aunts and uncles, Rose Hindel, Erma Hindel, Sharon (Pete) Vickers, Carol (Roger) Myers, Lois (Larry) Barth and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Hindel, an infant brother, James Hindel, a nephew Bryan Hindel, grandparents, Frank and Hazel Hindel, William and Emma King; aunts Betty Hindel, Iris Shumaker, uncles, Gerald Hindel and Kenneth Shumaker. Friends may call 2-4 & -6-8PM Sunday March 1, 2009 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home where services will be held on Monday at 11AM with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating.
