Orin L. Conkle, 76, of Dresden, went to be with the Lord at 7:30AM Thursday February 22, 2007 surrounded by his family. Mr. Conkle was born February 24, 1930 in Coshocton County, a son of the late Benjamin and Lula (Brown) Conkle. He retired from Cooper Industries (McGraw-Edison) in Zanesville and was an Evangelical United Brethren by faith. Mr. Conkle was also a member of Dresden Lodge #103 F.&A.M. Surviving are wife, Leora F. (Pence) Conkle, whom he married February 16, 1952; a son, Mark A. (Barbara) Conkle of Minster, Ohio; daughters, Belinda K. Conkle of Dresden, Betty Ann (Delbert) Meddings of Trinway, Penny Lou (Steve) Hoy of Dresden; grandchildren, Larrianne Conkle, Jeremy Conkle, Heidi Moore, Amy Shriver, Justin Meddings, Trevor Conkle, Tyler Conkle, Trey Conkle, Steve Hoy and Larry Hoy; his great grandchildren, Riley Conkle, Dylan Mullins, Jalyn Moore, Dalton Turner, Grace Shriver, Caden Shriver, Koen Meddings; sisters, Ruth Elizabeth (Paul) Stingel of Texas, Marilyn Ellen Eberhart-Frazey of Wooster and daughter-in-law, Cynthia (Geff) Gotti of W. Lafayette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry L. Conkle in 1979, Rudy G. Conkle in 1995 and a granddaughter, Danielle Conkle. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Sunday February 25, 2007 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday at the Fist Baptist Church in Dresden with Pastor Andrew Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens.
