FRAZEYSBURG – Ora Dell Wheeler, 93, of Perryton, Ohio died Monday evening, July 4, 2011 at Arlington Nursing Home in Newark.
Born May 6, 1918 in The Plains, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Riley and Alice (Williams) Keeton and was a graduate of The Plains High School. Mrs. Wheeler attended Columbus Business College and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Perryton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics.
Surviving is a son, Jerry (Lois) Wheeler of Newark and a daughter, Barbara (Roy) Hammer of Heath; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Wheeler whom she married February 6, 1939 and who died February 22, 1996; three brothers, Lawrence, George and Bart Keeton; two sisters, Juanita Buffington and Cynthia McDonald and a great grandson, Christopher Parsons.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday, July 8, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Sholis officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
