Obituary

Opal Gould, 102, of Dresden, Ohio went to be with her Lord Friday morning, December 30, 2016 at Coshocton Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coshocton, Ohio.

Born September 18, 1914 in Frazeysburg, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Logan and Pearl (Powers) Norman and was a 1932 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. She worked at the old Bush Woolen Mill in Dresden during World War II and was employed by the First Trust and Savings Bank of Dresden for 12 years. Mrs. Gould was a member of Dresden Madison Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of Dresden American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Shakespeare Club.

Surviving is one brother and sister in-law, Robert and Eva Norman of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Harry R. Gould whom she married April 5, 1935 and who died September 11, 1988; a brother, Homer Norman and two sisters, Edith McPeek and Helen Croy.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 6pm Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the funeral home with the Rev. Darla Revennaugh officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
