Olive L. Taylor, 90, formerly of Dresden, Ohio passed away Saturday evening, September 24, 2016 at Brookdale at Zanesville.
Born November 10, 1925 in Noble County, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Homer and Lula Mae (Keylor) Hayes. In the 1970's she earned her GED, an accomplishment for which she and her family were very proud. Olive was a homemaker and was a former employee of Mosaic Tile of Zanesville, Dresden Pottery and Lou's Hallmark. She was a long time member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and participated in Sunshine Girls and Bible study. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary. Her hobbies were Bingo, Line Dancing and Wii Bowling.
Surviving are two daughters, Holly (David) Wittbrodt of Bluffton, Indiana and Tonya (George) Warner of Zanesville, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Edward Taylor whom she married August 15, 1942 and who died December 3, 1981; a son, Larry Taylor and several brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Calling hours will also be for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at 11:00am Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Inboden officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Dresden Cemetery.
