Ola M. Davis, 80, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, August 18, 2018 at her home. Her loving family was at her side.

Born December 27, 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late George Walpole and Elizabeth Ruth (Scanlan) Walpole Osborn. Ola attended Frazeysburg High School and was a former employee of both the Zanesville Times Recorder and the Newark Advocate.  She was also employed by The Longaberger Company, Brockway Glass and was a bartender at Noll's Old Country Tavern in Nashport.  She enjoyed flowers, baskets, being with her friends and family and dancing.

Surviving are four sons, Tim Davis of Dresden, Jim Davis of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, Tom (Teresa) Davis of Avondale, Ohio and John (Sherry) Davis of Dresden; one daughter, Tammy (Rich) Nelson of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Bobbi Jo) Davis, Amye (Trophy) Iler, Derrick Davis, Stacia Davis, Justin Davis, Tad Davis, Chase Nelson and John Davis and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister in-law, Lois Walpole of Hanover and a brother in-law, Ross Newell of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, Junior and William Walpole and two sisters, Betty Osborn and Norma Jean Newell.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
