Funeral services for Norma Williams, 77 of Newark will be held Friday November 25, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Harnish officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Williams died Sunday November 20, 2005 at her residence. She was born September 9, 1928 in Newark to the late Clarence Ray ?Firpo? and Laura Lucille (Logan) Whitis.Norma retired in 1996 as an office manager at Mid-Ohio Warehouses. She had also been employed by Owens-Corning and Kaiser Aluminum. She was a member of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority for 58 years. A member of Christ United Methodist Church. A volunteer at the Eastside Food Pantry. She enjoyed collecting bears and dolls.She is survived by her husband Joe Williams, whom she married September 23, 1995; sister, Maxine Binckley of Newark, step-son, Richard Mathis of Newark; step-granddaughter, Jennifer (Mike) Brecht of Newark; step-great grandchildren Jordan and Caleb; sister-in-law, Charlene (Don) McLaughlin of Newark; niece, Lori Fackler of Newark; nephew, Tim (Debbie) Binckley of Newark; great nieces and nephews, Mike Fackler, Andy Fackler, Amy Fackler, Brad (Carrie) Bennett, Nicole (Gustavo) Gonzalez, Katie (John Tyndall) Binckley, Scott Binckley; great-great nephews, Colin, Zander and Alex; her beloved cats, Bright Eyes, Snug and Tyg.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Albert Mathis, whom she married November 8, 1958 and died August 11, 1986; brother-in-law, Bob ?Bink?
