A funeral service for Norma Jean DeLawder, 76 of Newark, will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mrs. DeLawder died Sunday January 11, 2004 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 15, 1927 in Newark to the late Floyd and Mary (Tyrrell) Mason. She retired as office manager at McDonald, Robinson & Spahr Law Firm and was a member of the National Secretary Association. She enjoyed Bridge Club and was a Methodist by faith. She is survived by one daughter, Linda S. and Clyde ?Butch? Cramer; two sons, Dan and Diane DeLawder, and Steve and Kim DeLawder, all of Newark; two grandchildren, Sara and Tom Joyner of Newark, and Matt DeLawder of Boulder, Colorado. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Charles M. DeLawder, who died April 26, 2002. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Memorial Contributions may be made to NHS: A Call To College or the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
