Neal "Jim" Arthur Hawk, 75, of Dresden, Ohio passed away at home, Monday, April 11, 2022 after a long struggle with COPD and CHF.

Jim was born May 1, 1946 in East Rochester, Ohio to Elwin Austin and Hazel Lucille (Haas) Hawk. He retired from Anchor Glass and Container in Zanesville after 30 years and began working as a machinery consultant and farming in Dresden. As a child, Jim learned how to fix all kinds of machinery when he worked for his father in the Hawk Laboratories.

He is survived by his second wife of 11 years of marriage, Rosemary (Lyons) Hawk; his children, Kimberly (Rick) Prince, Michael (Tammy) Hawk and Robert (Jennifer) Hawk; four brothers, Charles "Chuck" (Sue) Hawk of Minerva, Oh., Ted (Diana) Hawk of East Rochester, Oh., Tom (Sherri) Hawk of Minerva, Oh. and Sam (Cindy) of East Rochester, Oh.; a sister, Ann (Dave) Merker of Minerva, Oh.; fourteen grandchildren, Amanda Dilley, Alyssa Dougherty, Natasha Stephens, Tamara Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Ashlee Paschen, Jordan Hawk, Brandon Hawk, Jake Hawk, Stevie Darner, Adam Hawk, Jeffrey Hawk Jr, Jared Hawk, Barbie Hawk and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Barbara Jean (Brunt) Hawk; a son, Jeffrey Adam Hawk; a grandson, Andrew Scott Prince; two brothers, E. A. "Junior" Hawk and George "Jack" Hawk; four sisters, Wanda Pandin, Frances Woolf, Jean Schneider and Bonnie Runk.

Friends and family may call 6pm to 8pm, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main St.

Calling hours will be observed 5pm to 8pm, Friday, April 15, 2022 at the home of Ted Hawk, 26546 Francis Dr, East Rochester, Ohio and funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Jim will be laid to rest at Hawk-Sanor Cemetery, East Rochester, Ohio.
