Obituary
NEWARK: Nancy M. Rittenhouse, 74 of Martinsburg, formerly of Newark passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus. She was born July 2, 1935 in Newark to the late Charles Francis and Lillian Mae (Meyers) Simpkins. Mrs. Rittenhouse was a member of the Heath United Methodist Church and had been active in the choir.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Troy) Hysell of Gambier; sons, Charles (Karen) Rittenhouse of Glenford, and Keith (Sharon) Rittenhouse of Geneseo, Ill.; grandchildren, Katie Rittenhouse, Jason (Amy) Rittenhouse, Travis Rittenhouse, Joshua Hysell and Tyler Rittenhouse; and a close family friend, Pam Rittenhouse.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rittenhouse was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Rittenhouse, January 20, 1997.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Wilson Cemetery.
