Nancy J. Nusbaum, 75, of Dresden, died at 9:35PM Friday December 5, 2008 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville. Mrs. Nusbaum was born June 12, 1933 in Columbus, a daughter of the late William Carrel and Ruth (Coakley) Carrel of Zanesville. Mrs. Nusbaum had been a cook at the Tri-Valley Annex and Jefferson Elementary Schools and Hindel?s Country Basket Buffet. She had also worked at Popeye?s Restaurant and The Longaberger Museum and had been a receptionist at Headline?s Beauty Salon in Dresden and was a member of the Dresden U. Methodist Church. But it was her family she loved the most, just being a part of the lives of her mother, children and grandchildren fulfilled her life. Surviving in addition to her mother, are a son Mike (Sharon) Nusbaum and a daughter, Diane Dickson both of Dresden; grandchildren, Chad (Diana) Dickson of Nashport, Ryan (Cassie) Dickson of Granville, Nicole (Matt) Untied, Sara (Jessie) Untied and Emily (Josh) Frakes all of Dresden, numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Joretta (Jim) McIlwain of Carroll, a brother, Bill (Bernice) Carrell of Fairfield Glade, TN; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny H. Nusbaum on March 14, 1977 and her son-in-law, Rick Dickson on July 13, 2004. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday December 8, 2008 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30PM with Pastor Max Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Hospice or the Cedar Hill Care Center Activity Fund.
