Obituary
N. Kay Stevens, 64, of Zanesville, Ohio died Thursday morning, June 9, 2016 at The Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville.
Born June 3, 1952 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. and M. Eileen (Lindell) Newell. Kay was a dietary aid at ODC Nursing Home for many years and later worked in housekeeping for Autumn Health Care. She was a member of the Church of God at God's Acres in Newark, Ohio and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving is one son, Brad (Julie Harmon) Newell of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Brad Newell, Jr. and Heather Ayambilla; two great grandchildren, Jaquez and Dashawn; three sisters, Gloria Doyle of Dresden, Betty (Larry) Holland of Trinway, Ohio and Vicky (Ted) Withers of Zanesville; a brother, Dwight (Jackie) Newell of Trinway and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special God Children, Jennifer Mahon and Jeremy Mahon, both of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Newell and a brother Ralph "Woody" Newell.
Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, June 13, 2016 at the funeral home with Brother Roger Decker officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Church Cemetery.
