FRAZEYSBURG ? Minnie Marie Slatzer Holtz, 98, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2009 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio. Born October 7, 1910 in Cannelville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Jennie Rooms and was a homemaker. She formerly attended the Black Run Church of God and more recently attended the Frazeysburg Community Bible Church. She loved to sing and is now singing with the Heavenly choir. For many years she did volunteer work at the Muskingum County Home. Surviving are two sons, Larry Slatzer of Zanesville and Michael (Patty) Holtz of Nashport, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kimberly Holtz Hughes of Newark, Ohio, Matthew (Kristy) Holtz of Heath, Ohio, Kelly (John) Queen of Chardon, Ohio and Darcey (Mark) Slatzer of Gahanna, Ohio and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. V. Holtz, whom she married June 6, 1958 and who died April 21, 1995 and a granddaughter, Audrey Slatzer. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Louis Isch officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
