Obituary

FRAZEYSBURG â?? Miles Wesley â??Tadâ? Lupher, Jr., 84, of Warsaw, Ohio died Monday afternoon, November 1, 2010 at his home.
Born October 10, 1926 in Fallsbury Township of Licking County, he was the son of the late Miles Wesley Lupher, Sr. and Annabelle Rinehart Lupher and was a 1944 graduate of Union High School. Mr. Lupher was an Army veteran of World War II and he retired in 1987 after 30 years of service with Columbia Gas Company as a well-tender. He was a member of Perry Chapel Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and the church treasurer for 30 years. He was an avid gardener and he loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. His greatest enjoyment, though, was spending time with his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Norma J. (Ayers) Lupher whom he married November 24, 1967; five sons and daughters in-law, Nick and Gayle Sarchet of Aiken, South Carolina, Wes and Shelly Sarchet of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Brad and Janie Sarchet of Warsaw, Mark and Shanna Sarchet of Venice, Florida and Todd and Lisa Lupher of Frazeysburg; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Lupher and Bill (Barb) Lupher, both of Frazeysburg, a sister Shirley Fowls of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Blaine Fowls and a sister in-law, Carol Lupher.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Perry Chapel Baptist Church, 19476 Township Road 380, Warsaw.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, November 5, 2010 at the church with the Rev. David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in Perry Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
