Mildred ?Iona? Rose (Wolford) Hindel, 76, of Dresden, died at 2:45AM Wednesday December 6, 2006 at Genesis Good Hospital. Mrs. Hindel was born July 17, 1930 in Frazeysburg, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Preston) Wolford. She was an avid bowler and was in the PTO League at Sunrise Bowl on Wednesday nights and was a member of the Mystery Sisters Club. She had worked at Essex Wire for several years and worked hard raising her family and enjoyed baking and her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Smith of Nashport, Jay ?Pete? (Kathy) Hindel of Newark, Joy ?Missie? (George) Graves of Dresden, Karen (Dean) Howard of Trinway; daughter-in-law Palma (Fred) Saylor of Trinway; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two brothers, Benjamin (Bonnie) Wolford of Frazeysburg, Jesse (Pat) Wolford of Mt. Vernon, two sisters, Linda Clark of Hampton, VA, Patty Thomas of Las Vegas, NV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay T. Hindel on June 5, 1990, a son, George Hindel in 1987; a son in law, Ervin Smith; a sister Pauline Hindel and an infant brother, Larry Dean Wolford. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-9PM Friday December 8, 2006 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1PM Saturday with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
