FRAZEYSBURG ? Mildred I. ?Millie? Slaughter, 80, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2004, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. She was born October 20, 1923, in Wakatomika, Ohio, the daughter of the late William L. and Delilah (Biller) Thomas. Mrs. Slaughter was a longtime member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, was a communion steward, and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Frazeysburg Revitalization Association and she regularly attended the Frazeysburg Lions Club with her husband. Mildred was a homemaker and dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by the community. Surviving are her husband, Howard ?Slugger? Slaughter, whom she married February 4, 1969; four daughters, Beverly Kay (Chuck) Elekes of Frazeysburg, Judy (Jim) King, Connie (Larry) Moore and Kathy (Dan) Sensibaugh, all of Nashport, Ohio; one son, Kevin (Teresa) Slaughter of Nashport; one step-son, Mike (Donna) Slaughter of Newark, Ohio; a foster daughter, Linda Pride-Stiers; fifteen grandchildren, Valerie King (Scott) Gutridge, Kimberly Elekes (Kelly) Morin, Lori Moore (Greg) Finan, Shawn (Janelle) Sensibaugh, Lisa Moore (Cody) Roahrig, Vicki King (Andrew) LeVeck, Darrin (Amber) Moore, Troy Sensibaugh, Jimmy (Angie) King, Shane Sensibaugh, Brian Booth, Levi Booth, Brian Slaughter, Mandy Slaughter, and Michael Slaughter; ten great grandchildren, Dakota Gutridge, Braden Sensibaugh, Austin Moore, MacKenzie King, Hanna Sensibaugh, Emily Finan, Alyssa Sensibaugh, Tyler Slaughter, Zachary Slaughter, Trista Slaughter, and three new great grandchildren on the way. Also surviving are three sisters, Patricia (Herman) Simpson and Betty Holmes, both of Frazeysburg, and Clara (Ben) Simpson of Dresden; several nieces and nephews; and a special pet dog, Lexy. In addition to her parents, a brother, and an infant son, Carroll Jay Holmes, preceded her in death. Friends may call 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm, Saturday, February 14, 2004, at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
