Mildred E. "Mid" Michael, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Friday morning, April 14, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.

Born June 17, 1931 in Zanesfield, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Loren E. and Nancy M. (Bell) Lugar and was a 1949 graduate of Newark High School. She was a medical receptionist for Dr. Stephanic of Newark for several years. Mrs. Michael was Christian by faith and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She and her late husband, Jim, traveled to Florida most winters after their retirement to enjoy the warm weather and the company of the many friends they met there. She also enjoyed reading.

Surviving are two sons and daughters in-law, David and Margie Michael of Heath, Ohio and Gary and Camie Michael of Frazeysburg; one daughter and son in-law, Nancy and Jim Martin of Dresden, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Lindsay, Lauren, Lucas, Matthew, Jared, Kara, Kodie and Kristofer and five great grandchildren, Adrienne, Brynn, Cyson, Liam and Rowyn. Also surviving is a son in-law, Tim Miller of Frazeysburg, a sister in-law, Carole Mantonya of Utica, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James W. Michael, whom she married May 25, 1951 and who died September 1, 2011; a daughter, Debra Lynne Miller who died September 26, 2013; a brother, Lee Lugar and two sisters, Eleanor Boles and Leona Sidle.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 8pm Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating. Private graveside committal services will be conduct at a later date in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
