A funeral service for Mildred L. McCoy, 84 of Heath will be held Monday September 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes with Pastor James R. Sharrett officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.Mrs. McCoy died Friday September 14, 2007 at the Newark HealthCare Centre. She was born August 19, 1923 in Crawford, W. Va. to the late John E. and Mary E.(Clark) Riffle.Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker and charter member of Heath United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph McCoy, whom she married October 30, 1942; daughters, Patricia (Bob) Lohrman of Pinellas Park, FL., Sharon (Rick) Hinty of Pataskala, Debra (Steve) Osgood of Galloway; brother, Warren Riffle of Baltimore, MD.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.Calling hours will be observed Monday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, Ohio 43055-9925.
