Mildred Hains, 93, of Powell, formerly of Dresden, died at 9:15PM Wednesday February 15, 2006 at Kobacker House Hospice in Columbus. Mrs. Hains was born August 17, 1912 in Columbus and 1929 moved with her parents, Edward and Wilda (Costello) Adams to a farm near Dresden. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church; the Adams Mills Grange and the O.E.S. in Dresden. A 50 year member of the Friendship Club, she was also a member of the Licking County Pony Club. Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Richard) Griesen of Powell; a son, Carl (Shirley) Hains of Hanover; a sister, Eutreva Jones of Powell; grandchildren, Valerie (Tom) Phillips, Jeffrey Griesen, Eric (Sharae) Hains, Jenna Hains, great grandchildren, Wesley Philips, Gabrielle Phillips, Taylor Griesen, Audrey and Amanda Hains, step great granddaughter, Andrea Hains, nieces, Linda Adams, Mary Ellen Sproull, Lucille Sproull, nephews, Don Wiles and Richard (Martha) Lacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Conn Hains on July 27, 2002 and a brother, Roy Adams. Friends may call 5-8PM Saturday February 18, 2006 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 2:30PM Sunday with Pastor Ricci Arthur officiating.
