Mildred Moran Gray, 92, of Adams Mills, Ohio died at noon, Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio

Born May 2, 1926 in Jackson Township of Muskingum County she was a daughter of the late Carl and Hazel (Ashcraft) Moran and was a 1944 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. For many years she was a member of Madison Presbyterian Church in Adams Mills and she served the church as an Elder, a trustee and its clerk.  Currently she was a member of Dresden Madison Presbyterian Church in Dresden.  Mildred was a former employee of the Longaberger Company where she worked in Guest Relations.  She was a very active member of the Adams Mills and Dresden community and was a member of the Bridge Club, the Sorosis Literary Club, Rosewood Garden Club, Dresden Senior Center and was a 4-H advisor.  Mildred was also very active in the operation of the family farm and enjoyed sewing and gardening.  She was a very loving and nurturing person and her faith, her family and her community were her treasures.

Surviving are two daughters, Becca (Bob) Schumm of Norwalk, Ohio and Betsy Gray-McMorrow of Adams Mills; three grandchildren, Brooke (Tim) Yenkevich, Beth (Ty) Fritz and Prescott McMorrow; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Brayden, Addy and Mason; a brother, Paul Moran of Frazeysburg; a sister, Kathryn (Jim) Jadwin of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David D. Gray whom she married August 17, 1945 and who died November 1, 1991 and a brother, Kenneth Moran.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Dresden Madison Presbyterian Church, 808 High Street, Dresden, Ohio with Pastor Darla Revennaugh officiating. Burial will be in Adams Mills Cemetery.
