ADAMSVILLE ? Mildred Duncan, 87, of 3900 Piper Road, Zanesville, Ohio, died at 4:24am Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. Born June 6, 1917 in Belmont County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William N. and Vernice (Hutchison) Piper and was a 1935 graduate of Smith Township High School in Centerville, Ohio, Belmont County. Her parents were members of the Pioneer Belmont County Settlers. She was a member of the Sonora United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of Laura Chapter #264,O. E. S. and was Past Matron of Frank M. Ransbottom Chapter, O. E. S. Surviving is one son and daughter in-law, William J. and Jean Duncan of Zanesville; one daughter, Kathleen Duncan of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Tricia White, Al Duncan, Jewel Edman, Randy Duncan, and Andy Duncan; three great grandchildren, Amber and Calvin White and Jacob Duncan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, Kenneth K. Duncan, whom she married June 17, 1938 and who died June 14, 2001; one infant son; a brother, Laurence Piper and a sister, Flora Phillips. Calling hours will be 6 to 9pm Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street, Adamsville, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul?s Cemetery, Sonora.
