A funeral service for Michelle D. (Luckhaupt) Ranck, 35, of Thornville, will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 28, 2006 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark with Dave Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Mrs. Ranck died Monday September 25, 2006 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1971 in Columbus. Michelle graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1989, COTC with a degree in nursing in 1995 and worked at Granville Medical Center with Dr. Michael Barth for the past seven years as a registered nurse. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Jay Ranck, whom she married October 9, 1999; two beautiful girls, Mallory, age 5 and Rachel, one year, her father and mother in law, Larry and Shari Ranck of Thornville; sister in law, Annette (Craig) Bowman of Heath; grandparents, Barbara and Dick Luckhaupt of Columbus, who raised her, Almeda Chester of Columbus; her parents Rick Luckhaupt of Columbus, Carol Leyden of Kingston; two aunts, Kathie (Mike) Olney, Janine (Bryant) Laughlin who were more like sisters than aunts; her special friends, Cindy Ewing and Stacey and Donald Monroe and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call Wednesday September 27, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. The entire family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mt.
