A funeral service for M. Michele Shedosky, age 73, of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home | Newark Chapel, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark, OH.  Following the service, help us celebrate her life with a luncheon in the Community Center at the Village on Main, 65 McMillen Drive, Newark, OH.

Michele passed away peacefully at her home on February 17, 2025.  She was born on May 22, 1951, in Pottstown, PA to the late George and June (Will) Bastian.

A graduate of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, Michele was employed at Resinoid Engineering.

She loved sports, both playing and watching on tv.  She was a softball enthusiast and enjoyed participating in various leagues over the years.  She also liked movies and would often be at the theater with friends enjoying the latest release.

Michele is survived by a niece, Sarah Grim of Horseheads, NY; special friends Tom and Brenda Franks of Heath; and many other friends and coworkers.

In addition to her parents, Michele was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Grim.

We would like to give a special thanks to the Village on Main staff and residents.  Michele enjoyed the final chapter of her life living at the Village and participating in the various activities throughout her time there.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
