Michael Miller, 55, of Dresden, passed beautifully from the arms of his loving wife & children into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:57am while at home August 11, 2004 after a two year battle with cancer. Mike was born June 23, 1949, in Coshocton County to Harold and Dorothy Miller. He was a 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Mike served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1968 to 1974 including two years aboard the USS AJAX. He was a farmer all his life and had a strong work ethic. Mike wore many hats, as he was able to do many jobs with great expertise including shop work and was a skilled equipment operator. He also enjoyed raising beef cattle as well as being a trustee for Madison Twp. for fifteen years. Mike was a member of the Jubilee Revival Center church family and was greatly supported by them all. He was a member or affiliated with these organizations, Muskingum County Republican Club serving as a Central Committee man, Muskingum Co. Farm Bureau, Soil & Water Conservation District, life member of the Dresden American Legion Post 399, serving as Vice Commander, and was a past member of Dresden Village Association, Ruritan, Dresden Jaycees and many more. Mike is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda S. (Cohagen) Miller, whom he married Sept 18, 1987, daughter & son Courtney & Nathan Miller both of Zanesville. Also surviving is his mother Dorothy Miller and sister Gloria Stradly both of Dresden, brother & sister in-law Larry & Linda Miller of Florida, mother & father in-law Ron & Marlene Cohagen, brother & sister in-law Mike & Kathy Cohagen, sisters & brothers in- law Molly & Alan Udder, Judy & Steve Richards, Jenifer & David Hawkins and God Daughter, Heather (Scott) Karr and our special baby Samantha along with many nieces & nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father Harold L. Miller, his grandparents, and one nephew. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a truly exceptional man and a gift to us all. Friends may call 2-4pm and 6-9pm Friday Aug 13th, 2004 at Jubilee Revival Center, 10516 Frazeysburg Road, Dresden. Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday August 14th at the church with Pastors Mike & Melody Foster officiating. Burial will follow at the Dresden Cemetery.
