Obituary

Michael Allen King, 64, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 5, 2015 at his family campsite in Nashport, Ohio.
Born September 11, 1950 in Zanesville he was a son the late Mearl King and Jeannine (Seibert) King of Zanesville. Michael was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and was an Army veteran having served in Viet Nam. He was a member of the American Legion and was a former employee of the Longaberger Company where he was in carpentry and construction. He loved his Ohio State Buckeye, LeBron James and his grandchildren beyond words. Mike loved to crack jokes and to make people laugh.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife and best friend of nearly 46 years, Cheryl (Hutchison) King whom he married September 20, 1969; a son, Brian (Stephanie) King of Nashport; a daughter Lori (Steve Niles) King of Zanesville; his three grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Makayla, Landen and Kaden King; a sister in-law, Becky King of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his loving dogs, Peanut and Jelly.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos King and Steve King.
Mike was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Calling hours will be for 5pm to 8pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be at 8:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015, following calling hours, with Mrs. Sharon Vickers officiating.
