A funeral service for Michael S. Goodin,43 of Newark will be at 12:00 p.m. Noon Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Bishop Travis Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.

Michael passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born February 2, 1980 in Columbus, OH.

He was a graduate of Newark High School and employed by The Fuse Network working in several local facilities. He enjoyed traveling to the beach.

Survivors include his parents, Ralph E. and Sara J. (Wells) Goodin of Newark; a sister, Mary A. Goodin of Heath; a brother, Robert A. Goodin of Columbus; extended family, Teresa Goodin, Thomas Goodin, Ralph Goodin, Jr. and Marcy Duffield, all of Zanesville, Toni Goodin and Dylan Goodin of Newark; and several nieces and nephews including Melissa Wallace of Florida.

A visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
