FRAZEYSBURG ? Melva I. Michael, 98, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 9:25pm Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville, Ohio. Born January 1, 1909 in Linnworth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Abby Carpenter. Mrs. Michael lived in Florida for many years and was a retired Nurses Aid. She was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, the Fifty Club, the Review Club, the Card Club and the O. E. S. and she enjoyed traveling. Surviving is two sons, James W. (Mildred) Michael of Palmetto, Florida and Donald (Vivian) Michael of Frazeysburg; four grandchildren, Debra (Tim) Miller of Frazeysburg, David Michael of Heath, Ohio, Nancy (Jim) Martin of Dresden, Ohio and Gary (Camie) Michael of Frazeysburg; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ceward E. Michael, whom she married November 1, 1927 and who died September 26, 1968; three sisters and two brothers. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
