Melinda Kay Freeland, 57, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, died Wednesday afternoon at her home after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

Born February 3, 1968 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was a daughter of Linda K. (Moore) Moore and the late Ronald Larry Moore. Melinda was a 1986 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and worked as a System's Monitor for Meijer. She enjoyed watching news channels, crafting and going to concerts, especially 80's hair bands. What Melinda loved the most was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Mark Freeland whom she married October 13, 2004; daughter, Mary (Ben) Head of Gratiot, Ohio; son, Justin Bradley of Trinway, Ohio; step-son, Ronald Freeland of Dresden, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kaiden, Mackenzie, and Bailey; her mother, Linda K. Moore of Frazeysburg; a brother, Randy Moore of Howard, Ohio and many other family and friends.

Friends and family may call from 11am to 1pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the funeral home with Mr. Eric Wasson officiating.

Melinda will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
