Maurice B. Radcliffe, 84, formerly of Adamsville, Ohio died Sunday evening, January 17, 2016 at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville.
Born May 16, 1931 in Salem Township of Muskingum County he was a son of the late John B. and Ombra V. (Vinsel) Radcliffe and was a 1949 graduate of Adamsville High School. Mr. Radcliffe was a retired farmer and a retired school bus driver, having driven for over 30 years with Adamsville School District and Tri-Valley Schools. He served Salem Township as trustee for 12 years; was a member of Eureka Grange for over 60 years and a member of Muskingum County Pomona Grange
Maurice was a devout Christian and a member of New Hope Lutheran Church; the New Hope Church Council and he served on the New Hope Cemetery Committee for over 30 years. Prior to its merger with New Hope Church, Mr. Radcliffe was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. Maurice loved his Church and his God and he let them be the guiding light of his life.
Surviving is one brother and sister in-law, Ronald and Lois Radcliffe of Torrance, California; a sister and brother in-law, Catherine and Ray Wojnaroski of Goetzville, Michigan; four nieces and one nephew.
Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street and for one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 7025 Adamsville-Otsego Road, Adamsville, with Pastor Mary Molnar officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
