Matthew Joseph Jordan, 55, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home.

Born June 24, 1962 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan he was a son of the late William J. and Rosemary H. (Redoutey) Jordan. Mr. Jordan was employed by CSX Railroad and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Zanesville.

Surviving is a step-son, Jerry L. Ryan of Frazeysburg; three step-daughters, Sharon K. (Donald) Philips of New Tripoli, PA, Patsy Jo (Bennie) Foggin of Frazeysburg and Debbie A. Shaffer of Sidney, Ohio; four brothers, Greg Jordan, Andy Jordan, Bill Jordan and Jim Jordan, all of Michigan; five sisters, Janet Murphy, Anita Fox, Rosemary Chisholm, Martha Jordan and Jane Toney, all of Michigan; many step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews in Michigan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary (Novak) Jordan; his loving wife, Joan L. Jordan, whom he married June 24, 2000 and who died June 12, 2012; a step-son, Steven Ryan and a step-daughter, Vicki L. Smith.

A celebration of Matthew's life will be celebrated at 3:00pm Saturday, February 10, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville, Ohio.
