FRAZEYSBURG ? Mary Alice Shuman, 71, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, died at 9:51am Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born October 1, 1933 in Nashport, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Ada M. (Riley) Jenkins and was a homemaker. Mrs. Shuman was a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church, Richvale Grange, and TOPS Ohio #1408 of Frazeysburg. Surviving is two sons, Russell L. Jenkins and John L. Shuman, both of Frazeysburg; three daughters, Clara (Charles) Disbennett of Nashport, Nancy Raver of Johnstown, Ohio and Elizabeth Shuman of Frazeysburg; four brothers, James (Dolly) Jenkins of Mt. Perry, Ohio, Ernest (Shirley) Jenkins and Earl (Cindy) Jenkins, both of Zanesville, and Thomas (Betty) Jenkins of Frazeysburg; four sisters, Frances (Rolland) Allen of Columbus, Ohio, Norma Beall of Newark, Ohio, Barbara (Clyde) Thomas of Marion, Ohio and Charlotte Jenkins of Frazeysburg; three grandchildren, Tyler Powell, Cody Disbennett and Sarah Disbennett; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John Russell Shuman, whom she married July 29, 1961 and who died, October 13, 1995; one grandson, James Powell; three brothers, Robert, Carl and Roy Jenkins and one sister, Donna Roberts. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the funeral home with Mrs. Shuman?s nephew, Minister Clyde K. Thomas II officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
