Mary L. Nauer, 90, formerly of Nashport, died Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017 at Select Hospital in Newark, Ohio.
Born July 16, 1926 in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ona (Norman) Fuller and was a 1944 graduate of St. Nicholas High School. Mrs. Nauer was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and knitting.
Surviving is one son, Mark (Cindy) Nauer of Zanesville; two daughters, Carol (Carmen) Wheeler of Nashport and Dorothy (Joe) Richards of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Nauer, whom she married February 12, 1947 and who died November 28, 1996; two daughters, Theresa Rickeart and Patricia Nauer; a grandson, Patrick Shane Rickeart; four brothers, Ralph, Carl, Louis and James Fuller and a sister, Anna Mae Henderson.
Calling hours will be 9:30am to 10:30am Friday, June 16, 2017 in the St. Francis Chapel at Mattingly Settlement, 6280 St. Mary's Road, Nashport.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, June 16, 2017 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement with the Rev. Father Donald Franks and the Rev. Father Thomas Nau, Mary's nephew, co-celebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
