Mary "Helen" Moyer, 94, of Columbus, Ohio died Thursday morning February 12, 2015 at McNaughten Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.
Born February 23, 1920 in New Lexington, Ohio she was a daughter of the late John Ambrose and Mary (Metzger) Smeltzer. Mrs. Moyer was a homemaker and was a resident of the Villas at St. Therese of Columbus. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church in New Albany, Ohio.
Surviving is a sister, Pauline Richards of New Lexington; two brothers, Richard (Tillie) Smeltzer of New Lexington and Ted (Mary Lou) Smeltzer of Nashport, Ohio and a sister in-law, Imelda Smeltzer of New Lexington.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Moyer; a son Ronald Moyer; five brothers, Charles, Donald, James, John and Joseph Smeltzer and a sister, Ruth Gordon Little.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at the Mattingly Settlement, St. Mary's Road, Nashport, Ohio with the Reverend Father Donald Franks as celebrant. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery with committal services scheduled at 12:15pm Saturday.
Calling hours will be one hour prior to the Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
