Mary Elizabeth Little passed away at 5:20AM Wednesday August 10, 2005 of ovarian cancer at her home in Springfield, VA. She was born in Trinway, OH on November 18, 1935. She was a former resident of Adams Mills, Dresden, and Trinway Ohio. She moved to Alexandria, Virginia with husband, Bob, in 1958 and then to Springfield, Virginia in 1965. Surviving members of Mary?s family include her husband, Robert Little of Springfield, VA; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Frank Napoli of Hyattsville, MD; and her grandson, Robby Napoli of Hyattsville, MD.Her parents, Maxine Darner Smart and Russell A. Wright, preceded her in death.Mary was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Springfield, VA. She was heavily involved in volunteer work throughout her life including church organist, Girl Scouts, bowling, girl?s softball, and accompanist for children?s choirs. Her most notable volunteer contribution was her work in starting and running the Northern Virginia Diabetes group that operated out of an office in her basement for years. Even up until the fall of 2004 she continued her volunteer work by doing clerical work at Inova Alexandria Hospital.Friends may call 6-8PM Tuesday August 16, 2005 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main St. Dresden, where funeral services will be help at 11AM Wednesday August 17, 2005 with Dr. Richard Boyer officiating.
