A funeral service for Mary L. Hannum, 97 of Heath will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with David Mason officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hannum passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Inn at Chapel Grove. She was born November 26, 1926 in Newark to the late Paul and Pearl (Stewart) Snoor.

Mrs. Hannum, a devout woman of faith was a member of the Heath Church of Christ.  She enjoyed traveling and various crafts including crocheting, cross-stitch and painting.  She was also a talented seamstress.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara H. (Fred) Pyle, Marjorie A. (Kenneth) Nauer; grandchildren, Tamera Good, Michael Pyle (Andrea), Melissa Moran-Casper (Kevin), Rebecca Pyle, Elizabeth Hall; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Hannum in 2019; a brother, Robert Snoor; and sisters, Jean Hardy and Carolyn Masters.

Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heath Church of Christ or Generations Hospice.
