NEWARK ? Funeral services for Mary E. Nelson, 66 of Newark will be Sunday January 15, 2006 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Father Bill Hritzko, officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson died Wednesday afternoon at Flint Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 11, 1939 in Shady Side, Maryland to the late Ralph and Myrtle (Phipps) Ross. Mrs. Nelson was an accomplished seamstress; family was always her first priority, she loved taking care of her grandson. She was always concerned about others and was environmentally conscious as well. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Brenda Nelson; her son, Rick Nelson and Konnie Nelson, all of Newark; a grandson, Quinten Nelson; brothers, Bob Ross of Newark; and Lonny Ross of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and a sister Sharron ?Lou? Tannehill of Lake Angelus, Michigan; close family friends Susie and Otis Crittenden, Connie and Darrell Roundtree, Jeanne and Doug Price, Kenny Brofford and Otis Shroyer. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 1-3PM Sunday January 15, 2006 at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
