FRAZEYSBURG ? Mary Belle Dolder, 95, formerly of Frazeysburg, OH died Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Helen Purcell Home in Zanesville, OH. Born December 3, 1911 in Blairsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Bertha (Fowler) Rankin and was a 1933 graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, OH. Mrs. Dolder was an accomplished pianist, contralto and organist. She taught music in the Frazeysburg-Nashport schools for many years, retiring in 1974. She was the organist at the Market Street Baptist Church in Zanesville from 1957 to 1976. Mary Belle was a long-time member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church where she served as choir director, Deacon and Elder. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca and Susan and their life partners, Nanci Adams and Carol Schlesinger. Mrs. Dolder was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dolder; her brother Wilbert (Gus) Rankin; her step-brothers Ben, Everett and Vinton White and her step-sister, Dorothy Dolder-Cavanaugh. Graveside funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Cemetery with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. A memorial service to celebrate Mary Belle?s life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church, West Carlisle Road, Frazeysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helen Purcell Home, 1854 Norwood Blvd., Zanesville, OH 43701. The family was assisted by the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home.
