A funeral service for Mary J. Clinton, 76 of Heath will be held Monday December 19, 2022 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with David Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Clinton passed away on December 12, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born May 13, 1946 in Claylick, OH to Kenneth E. and Lulabell (Rector) Hilleary.

She was a former employee of Sheraton Inn and Universal Veneer. Mary was a longtime member of the Newark Druids and Newark Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, cookouts, country music and especially artist Conway Twitty. She was a loving, caring, friendly individual always willing to help family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine A. Clinton of Heath; three grandsons, Randall C. DeLawder & Tara Rhodes of Newark, Shane P. DeLawder & Tiffany Anderson of Omaha, NE, Keith G. DeLawder & Maria Schmitz of Newark; three great-grandchildren, Liam M. DeLawder, Emilia G. DeLawder, Rylen Rhodes; sister, Alice (Paul) West of Utica, former son-in-law, Randall P. DeLawder of Dublin; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former spouse, Charles K. Clinton; siblings, Kenneth (Helen) Hilleary, Jr., Margaret Franks, Nellie (Pat) Allen, Shirley (Ed) Nethers; nephews, Ricky Franks, Kenneth Lee Hilleary.

A visitation will be observed Sunday December 18, 2022 at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 W. Main St. from 2 to 5 p.m.
