A funeral service for Mary E. Clark, 66 of Newark will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday July 7, 2006 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes with Mr. Jerry Cowles officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Mrs. Clark died Tuesday July 4, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan in Zanesville. She was born August 1, 1939 in Newark, Ohio to the late Bernard and Martha (Shelton) Crawmer. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Stone Clark, whom she married August 6, 1955; seven children, Cathy (Nathan) Lilly, Connie Caito, Rick Clark, Tim (Kim) Clark, Rodney Clark, Lisa (John) Bentley, Sheila (Randy) Church all of Newark; brother, Thomas Crawmer of Newark; 27 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clark was a devoted mother and enjoyed yard selling and shopping. She had attended Hanover High School. In addition to her parents five brothers and a sister, Barb Brewer, preceded her in death.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
