Mary V. Barton, 86, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015 at Coshocton Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coshocton.
Born September 26, 1929 in Keene, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Lloyd George and Lucy (Beall) Miller and was a 1947 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Barton was a former employee of the Essex Wire Company of Zanesville. In addition, she was an Avon Sales Representative and a sales consultant for The Longaberger Company. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church; the Women's Circle of the church and a member of the Dresden American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was an avid reader and she loved to bake.
Surviving is one son, Jack Daniel (Annette) Newcome of Nashport; four daughters, Lois Yvonne (Kenneth) Norris of Zanesville, Merrill Lyn (Tom) Rounds of Cincinnati, Jodie Melinda (Mark) Pape of Dresden and Lucy Roxanne (Michael) Stephan of Charlotte, North Carolina; two step-children, Lee Barton and Kay Lightfoot; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barton; a brother, Harold Miller and two sisters, Doris Mast and Lois Miller.
Calling hours will be from 10AM to NOON Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be at NOON Friday, December 11, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Inboden officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
