NEWARK: A memorial service for Marjorie A. Loughridge, 80 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Rader officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Marjorie went home to be with the Lord April 14, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 26, 1929 in Newark to the late David and Florence (Maidel) Kappes. She was a 1947 graduate of Newark High School and had worked for 42 years at Sears. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Miriam Circle. She was a member of the Newark Maennerchor. Marjorie was a woman of faith and family. She was devoted to her family and had a special love for her many pets.
Survivors include her son, James (Lisa) Loughridge of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Jim (Tiffany) Rinderle of Blue Rock, Chris (Julie) Rinderle of Holiday, FL, Amy Rinderle-Smith of Zanesville, and Scott Rinderle of Newark; a sister, Jean Vermillion of Newark; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Loughridge, Septmeber 9, 1994; a daughter, Rebecca Carlyle, April 5, 2005; and a brother in-law, Fred Vermillion.
